Passion Week of Great Lent is underway. Very briefly, I would like to remind you that this week is dedicated to the memories of the last terrible days of Jesus Christ's life, which He spent in suffering. Passion Week is also called Passion Week. However, given that the word `` passion '' in Church Slavonic means `` suffering '', then the days of the week are called Great, and the week is called Great Week (7 days).
Believers spend the entire Great Week in the strictest abstinence and earnest prayer, in the performance of good deeds and the manifestation of mercy, as well as in the strict restriction of food intake.

GREAT WEEK!

Forty days before Easter, they breathe calmness,
Fast food is forbidden.
This lesson was taught by the Almighty,
When he spent his life in the desert.

Secret time is shrouded in the spiritual
In this Great Week.
The spiritual are prescribed to live by renewal,
You cannot have fun from the heart.

People try to imitate them
Eat only lean food.
In memory about God by their abstinence
They find peace in prayers.

People remember Jesus' torment,
The sufferings of His terrible days.
And the Christian doctrine
By faith united people.

Seven days is the time of human patience,
The days of spiritual food are filled!
Days of repentance and reconciliation
With God and just with people!

Let us, and we all, be patient
In this Great Week.
And in our merciful manifestation
We will pray earnestly.

Let us remember Christ as the Savior of the World!
We have not the best days now either.
Great Week we patiently
With goodness we will go to God!
