Happy Medicine Day (Medic)! I am writing from Turkey! It's sooooo cool here! I studied the country's medical history at my leisure)))

March 14, 1827 Sultan Mahmut II opened the first surgery school in Istanbul and therefore this day is considered the beginning of modern medical education in Turkey. The school's founding day, March 14, is celebrated as "Medicine Day."

The first celebration took place in occupied Istanbul on March 14, 1919. On that day, under the leadership of the 3rd grade student of the medical school Hikmet Boran, the students of the medical school gathered to protest the occupation, and famous doctors of the time also supported them. Thus, the medical festival started as a movement in defense of the Fatherland of representatives of the medical profession.

And our health workers' holiday is celebrated in the summer! The third Sunday in June, if I'm not mistaken)))) In general, everyone, happy holiday !!!
