Today is the day of the paramedic! This is a significant day of the year for me!
My grandmother has been in medicine all her life.

She started with a state farm ... She worked as a midwife in a hospital ... She gave birth to my mother and was not on maternity leave for a single day. ..
They picked her up in the middle of the night, put her in a cart and took her to give birth. Without special conditions and medicines ...

I came from the night, looked at the farm, nursed my daughter and went back to the call ...
Grandfather studied. Then, he pursued a career. So everything was on women's shoulders.
Sometimes, I took my breastfeeding daughter with me.
In one room a woman gave birth, in another - someone looked after my little mother.

We moved to Minsk and my grandmother went to work as a nurse in a polyclinic and stayed there. In the antenatal clinic.

You know, there are such people, at the sight of which everyone smiles widely, making a deep bow! My grandmother was like that too! Strict, but very kind!

She knew all women by name and called them "Mine". I listened to their stories, made peace with their husbands and discouraged them from abortion.
I know a dozen families where there are "grandmother's" children. If it hadn't been for her there would have been. Absolutely. And now they are very grateful to her.

Grandmother lived a modest life. I never asked or took anything. Chocolate and flowers - this is the only thing she agreed to.
And the phrase "Thank you! I gave birth!" she considered the best reward.

Today is the day of the medical worker. And I consider it a great profession.
After all, a doctor is not about a white coat.
It's about a personal approach, professionalism in what you do and love for people! There is no other way here.
