2021-03-01 19:12:33He lived in distant Greece,
With the name Maxim,
Restless youth,
He was in a hurry to find out everything.
Further the way to Italy,
he took tonsure.
But with a distant road,
He was betrothed.
In dignity he was a monk.
He knew the language of books.
And with injustice
He got used to fighting.
Even in captivity
He sang psalms to God.
Now, a name in holiness,
We will not forget.

2021-02-19 18:32:36Verse for the Day of Remembrance of the Monk Maximus the Greek.
There is a small island in the world.
Just like centuries ago,
The sun rises above it,
And goes to sleep behind the slope ...
Son, those places of promise,
Greek melodies friend,
He was sent to other countries.
He suddenly arrived to the Russian lands.
For his saints
He was recognized by human rumor.
And golden icons
With a bright face before you .
The author of this beautiful verse Valery Ch.

2021-02-18 18:01:03Verse for the memory of the Reverend Maxim the Greek.
Only the Lord knows in heaven,
How many hardships there are in life.
Oppression, wars, diseases -
There is no count of them in the world.
But the church has always been < > Help of the holy brethren.
That is ready for any sacrifice,
For the goodness of the world.
We will remember their names,
And remember them in prayers.
To glorify in eternity.
Never forget.
