One of the main Christian holidays - the Day of the Holy Trinity - is celebrated on the 50th day after Easter. In Orthodoxy, it is one of the twelve feasts and glorifies the Holy Trinity. And it is called Pentecost because the descent of the Holy Spirit on the Apostles took place on the fiftieth day after the Resurrection of Christ. After the ascension of Jesus Christ, the tenth day came: it was the fiftieth day after the Resurrection of Christ.

The feast of the Holy Trinity is the day of the descent of the Holy Spirit on the apostles.

The event described in the Gospel, which became the reason for the celebration of the Day of the Holy Trinity, took place in Jerusalem. The upper room of Zion, where the Lord spent the Last Supper, sheltered the twelve apostles and the Mother of God after the crucifixion and Resurrection of Christ. They prayed for seven weeks; on the 50th day, as Jesus predicted, the Holy Spirit descended on them. Being a fire, the Holy Spirit endowed them with the ability to speak in unfamiliar languages and dialects, the ability to heal and see future events. The descent of the blessed fire allowed Jesus' disciples to carry the Word of God to nations around the world, preaching about the life and death of the Savior. One of the names of Trinity Day is the holiday of the descent of the Holy Spirit or the descent of the Holy Fire, which symbolizes God's blessing.

What happened proved the Creator's trinity, which is expressed in three persons, inseparable from each other: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Each of the persons of the Holy Trinity is God, but they are the essence of a single deity, and not the essence of three gods. The significance of the date for believers cannot be overemphasized. It was from this day that the Christian Church began its chronology, and the Zion Upper Room became the first church abode for worshipers. Also, a bright day is usually called Pentecost.

According to the Old Testament, on the 50th day after the Jews left the Egyptian kingdom, Moses received God's commandments. The appearance of the Holy Spirit on this very day is deeply symbolic.

Why does it often turn out not as we planned, conceived?
We are upset, worried, replaying the collapse of hopes in our head ...
For a believer, this is a signal that he:
- did not initiate his plans God;
- either dedicated, but partially, hiding the inconvenient points of the plan;
- either the plans of a person do not correspond to God's will;
- or the motives of the plan are wrong.

Before starting something from the little things to the global, we pray. We turn on the spiritual search for answers, signs, the state of the heart, and if there is the slightest doubt whether this is pleasing to God, we either completely abandon the plan, or wait for an answer from Him in order to start acting. "There are many plans in the heart of man, but only the one determined by the Lord will take place" (Proverbs 19:21)

But adult Christians already know this. On the feast of the Holy Trinity, I wish you that your plans will always be pleasing to God and blessed by God! Happy Holidays!
