Eid al-Adha, or Eid al-Adha, is a celebration of the end of the Hajj - a pilgrimage to the holy city of Mecca, which is one of the pillars of Islam. It takes place after the end of the fast of Oraz in 70 days.

How did Eid al-Adha, what kind of holiday was it?

It is dedicated to the memory of Ibrahim, the Islamic prophet, about whose deed one of the legends says ... In a dream, he saw an angel who conveyed the will of Allah - to sacrifice his son, as proof of the strength of his faith. Father and son, faithful to the Almighty, went to the area where Mecca is now. They prepared for the sacrificial ritual. When the sacrifice process began, the knife could not cut the body of the young man, and in its place was another victim - a ram. By the will of the Almighty, he remained to live, and Ibrahim proved his faith in Allah. After that, they began to sacrifice the animal. This has become a symbol of God's love for people.

On these days it is necessary to perform good deeds, give alms, if possible, deliver medicines for the sick and provide assistance to the elderly, orphans and large families. Let the charity and the good deeds we have done multiply.
